It’s officially the first full day of summer this year. What better way to start it off then with a top 10 list of what I look forward to most about this sun-shiny season!

1. Dress me up, colour me happy.

Pretty dress AND brights, all in one happy package. Flowy dresses and bright colours – the perfect combination.

2. Beach day!

Just because it’s a great excuse to wear amazingly floppy hats like this one. A book, the waves, sand between my toes.

3. Sandals and bright pedis.

Sandals because I can wear little numbers like this newest addition to my collection. Thank you LOULOU for this find. Paired with lovely Essie neutrals and brights.

A weekly ritual.

4. Outdoor dining.

One of my absolute favourite things to do with friends. How can this chic little backyard gem not bring you to a happy place?

5. Delicious eats.

Whether you’re prepping for a relaxing date with a book and a good glass of vino, or looking for a nice fresh app to bring to your next summer dinner party, these sound delish. Both on my list to try!

As some of you may know, I recently purchased my first bike and am braving the city traffic. This new adventure may have meant a lot of right hand turns and taking twice as long to get anywhere at first (don’t judge ha!).  I’m a firm believer in practice makes perfect.

9. Outdoor yoga.

This photo says it all. My first week at ‘Yoga Unplugged’ with 889 Yoga and Lululemon at the Thompson Hotel. There will be a blog post especially dedicated to this amazing hour with yogis and Bob Marley.

Healthy Chocolate Pudding

It’s true – it does exist!

After a bit of a hiatus, I’m back and the updates will be more plentiful, I promise.

Last week I discovered a recipe on this fabulous blog called With Style and Grace. Not going to lie, I have a bit of a crush on almost everything on this blog. The recipe is Chocolate Pudding for Health Nuts. You must take a peek.

“Eat something sweet every day”

The first ingredient on the list – avocado.

Already, this is exciting because I really am a believer that avocados make everything better. Followed by the rest of these delicious ingredients, I had to try. So, without further ado, this became a little Saturday afternoon project. I did make some tweaks to the recipe (my edits/additions have an * beside them).

Check it out and enjoy!

  • 2 medium avocados
  • 5 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons honey OR 6 dates, pitted* (dates won the vote here)
  • 2-3 tablespoons coconut milk* (added about 5 tablespoons)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • sea salt
  • 1/4 cup almond milk* (added this to make for easier blending)
  • 3 tablespoons of agave nectar* (to sweeten some more)

You will never eat pudding any other way!
