Wow! Summer flew by. I especially realized this when I was out and about at 8AM to a brisk September morning at 11 degrees and sunny. While I’m sad to see long sun-shiny days leave us, I must say I’m pretty excited about this time of year.
I just love Fall. The crisp mornings, layers, and scarves. Oh, the scarves! One of my absolute favourite things about Fall. I did this for summer, and I’m thinking of making it a bit of a tradition on the blog – sharing the things I look forward to most at the beginning of each season.
Here are some of my favourites about this season.
So many scarves, so little space. You will see more of my love for scarves, I promise. Here are just a couple beauty shots.
Pumpkin Spice Lattes
You know it’s Fall when Starbucks has added Pumpkin Spice Lattes back on to menu.
Trust me, there will be a whole blog post on riding boots, but these are my babies from Ron White Shoes. At this price (you’ll have to dig for that on your own), they are treasures for life, but the antiqued leather will only look better with age. It’s like good wine! So I tell myself… Prettyyy darn excited to pull these out of my shoe closet again. Her name is “Shelby” ;)
A shot of the inside of the boot, but the details are a must-show.
Farmer’s Market – seasonal treats
So many root vegetables and deliciousness to try this time of year. Gather the veggies and start prepping soups frozen in portions. Great for lunches and a cup of soup on chilly Fall afternoons! Here is a pretty shot of some Fall goodness from LLH Designs (www.llhdesignsblog.com)
So many goodies – pumpkin pie, pumpkin lattes, toasted pumpkin seeds, and the list goes on. Recipes to follow later in the Fall with some of the things I’ve tried.
I’m from Newfoundland. While I live downtown Toronto, I grew up around a whole lot of absolutely stunning scenery. What’s not to love about the changing colours of leaves in the Fall?
Seriously though, how pretty is this?
SS13 Runway Shows
I know this sounds a little odd since I’m talking about Fall, but one of the fun things about each season really is seeing the work of many talented designers and what they have coming in the season to follow. I’m certainly not one to wish time away, but it’s a fun time of year!
Save the date, Toronto Fashion loves! It’s coming soon.
That’s all for now. Happy layering and sipping warm soups and lattes!
