About me

Make beautiful things happen.

Inspired by someone who saw beauty in everything and everyone, this blog is made up of what keeps me driven day to day, and encourages me to also see beauty in life’s simplest  pleasures.

Passionate. Motivated. Creative. Loving.

That is who I am.

I’m a small town lady, who was taught that if you don’t like something, change it. When you’ve found your passion, work your tail off to make the next big thing happen. Having grown up near the ocean in Newfoundland, on the East Coast of Canada, I longed to keep it that way. I moved to Halifax to complete a Bachelor of Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University and land my first gig at a well-sought after creative agency. All the while, never losing sight of my dream to one day follow in the footsteps of my dear dad and become and entrepreneur – to run my own business and spend a lifetime doing what lit my heart on fire.

Fast forward a few years and here I am, living in Toronto, being my own boss. While I’m no longer near ocean air (trust me,  I will be again one day), I’m making my dreams come true and I am lighting my heart on fire. Every single day.

Since moving to Canada’s “big city”, I’ve gone from account manager in an ad agency, to running marketing and communications initiatives for a Canadian shoe designer, to pinching myself daily to make sure this dream of being an entrepreneur is real. It’s not a job, it’s a lifestyle. I’m caught up in the crazy whirlwind of  boutique lifestyle marketing & PR that I call my life – and meeting incredible, genuine, strong women (and men) along the way.

Outside of the “office”, you’ll find me savouring new dishes and wine with girlfriends, coming up with new gluten-free concoctions in the kitchen, or spending time with my lover, my best friend, my most creative copywriting other half. From pretty little things, to 90 minutes in a hot yoga room bringing myself back to reality, I’m an East Coaster at heart.

… And I’m on the brink of something beautiful one coffee date at a time.
